Beema bamboo
Purpose-grown feedstock. Land and yield assumptions remain subject to field validation.

PRISM Burdekin / North Queensland
Beema bamboo into sustainable aviation fuel, sodium-ion battery anodes and biobased resins. Planned for North Queensland.
Our Burdekin biorefinery in North Queensland cooks the bamboo it grows on one continuous line: sugars for sustainable aviation fuel, sulphur-free lignin for hard carbon anodes, and a C5 stream for biobased PFA resin.
Each culm matures in three to four years, and a plantation keeps yielding for 40 years or more, harvested selectively, never clear-felled.

Illustrative site concept based on the supplied 50 hectare model, with an 800 by 625 metre pad. Final layout remains subject to engineering and approvals.

SAF cuts lifecycle emissions against fossil jet fuel. Ours is built on the certified ATJ-SPK route, starts in a field instead of a well, and is refined on Australian soil for Australian skies.
46M L
Planned annual SAF output, first lift 2031
126.8 kt
Modelled CO₂e abatement per year; subject to certification
SAF, drop-in ready for Australian airlines
We extract sulphur-free lignin from the same bamboo stream and cook it into hard carbon anodes for sodium-ion batteries.
Sodium-ion cells store power with abundant materials. The anode is the hard part: we make that part here, 26.8 kilotonnes a year, enough for roughly 23 GWh of new sodium cells.
Hard carbon anode, PRISM Burdekin
A new manufacturing base in the Burdekin, North Queensland: fuel for our airlines, anode carbon for our battery makers, and skilled jobs in the bush. It is being built on salt-affected land the region stopped cropping.
A connected journey from living soil to Australian fuel and materials.

Beema bamboo
Purpose-grown feedstock. Land and yield assumptions remain subject to field validation.

Selective harvesting
Mature culms are harvested while the living plantation remains in place.

Integrated processing
One feedstock provides the streams for fuel, hard carbon and biobased resin.

More from the same crop
SAF, hard carbon anodes for sodium-ion batteries, and PFA resin.

First lift targeted for 2031
A domestic fuel pathway, subject to development, approvals and certification.
Announcements from the plantation, the pilot line and the boardroom. Working with airlines, grower bodies and the Commonwealth to build a fuel and materials supply chain Australia controls.
